Manik Banerjee
          Literary Manik Bandyopadhyay was born on 19 May 1888. His ancestral home is at Malpadia village of Sirajdikhanj. This time-honored novelist of Bengali literature has become immortal by writing many novels and short stories including 'Padmanadir Majhi', Putul Nacher Itikatha.etc.

 


 

 
Buddhadev Basu

 The ancestral home of the poet Buddhadeb Basu is at Malkhanagar in Munshiganj. One fof the most prominent poets of 1930s Buddhadev Basu became immortal by composing poem standing outside the influence of Rabbindranath Tagor


 
Samresh Basu
          One of the best short story writers and novelists in Bengali literature. He was born on 11 December 1924 in Rajanagar, Sirajdikhan. He also wrote many novels under the pseudonym 'Calcutta'.
