Language and culture

The cultural tradition of Sirajdikhan is very rich. Once, the majority of the people of this area were upper class hindues and they had a very close connection with Kolkata for education, trade or service purposes. When they visited their native villages in different occasions, they would arrange song, drama,jatrapala and different types of functions which made the whole area clamorous. Later,under the patronization of Central shilpokola Academy, local children are trained in songs , dance, drama etc.Moreover different cultural organizations are contributing for the development of and nourishing our culture.
